A General Letter to Your US Senator in Opposition to the Healthcare Bill
Dear Senator:
We arrive at a crucial point in determining the future of this nation: Preserve our republic, or commit national suicide by implementing wholesale socialism. Americans are angry. We are angry with career politicians who push unrequested, unconstitutional legislation down our throats, despite our letters, faxes, e-mails and peaceful protests. We are angry that even our health care is not safe from these ravenous wolves in sheep’s clothing. We are angry that the only logical incentive for such grossly onerous attacks on our liberties is the control gained through total subjugation of the American people. If those in power who arrogantly plot this treacherous transition to National Socialism believe we will not rise up in arms against them, they best rethink their position. We remind those who hold elected office that American anger is an unsurpassed instrument of unity; especially when that anger is generated by a betrayal. We might forgive occasional political corruption, but we truly despise tyrants. It courses within our blood—this “American” DNA.
The health care Bill presently in consideration by the Senate contains over 4000 pages in hidden programs, union payoffs, government controls, unrelated entitlements, special interest agendas, and freedom depriving laws and mandates. This bill is loaded with massive tax increases. Democrats will spend 1.2 Trillion dollars, and then collect 1.2 Trillion dollars in new taxes. The middle class will be made to pay for this horror, while the Washington ruling elite will grant themselves an exemption from participation—THAT is the true meaning of “deficit neutral.” The CBO only scored the first ten years. In those 10 years, there will be six years of health care benefits. The next ten years will have the same taxes, but $400 Billion more in outlay—and that is not “deficit neutral.” Moreover, the new federal mandates on the states will be unfunded.
If this Bill becomes law, American liberty will come to an end. We will inevitably find ourselves coerced to enroll in the government “option” because the Democrat “plan” will intentionally regulate and mandate the cost of health insurance so high, we will have no choice. Doctors will retire from the bureaucratic mess our politicians created, while 30 million more patients enter the system. The inevitable rationing has already begun with a newly proposed restriction on mammograms. This single piece of “progressive” legislation will destroy the greatest health care system ever known to man. This single piece of selfish political pandering will end the America that the world so much envies. This single piece of Marxist inspired contempt will extinguish the light of freedom that our fathers purchased at such high cost in blood and treasure. This will be the legacy of Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Susan Collins, Olympia Snowe, et al. Benedict Arnold will be forgotten as the American icon of treachery—Barak Hussein Obama, the Democrat Party and their RINO Republican enablers will become the new standards of betrayal. God have mercy on them—because we who cherish freedom above all else, will not.
